The best way to get to know people at Christ the Redeemer and to feel like you belong is to get involved in whatever way that suits you. You might join a small group, or become part of a ministry team. However you choose to do it, you’ll find new friends and the opportunity to deepen your relationship with God.
Life Groups
What’s a “life group”? It’s people who come together regularly outside of church services for discussion, study, and socializing. A life group is a great place to make friends, and to find out more about God, about Christ the Redeemer, and perhaps about yourself. We have groups that meet at different times and locations, with different study topics and approaches. Click here to learn more about our groups, and make plans to visit one soon.
Adults
Men’s Ministry: Meets once a month on Saturday mornings for conversation and discussion; holds retreats twice a year
Women’s Ministry: Offers ongoing Bible studies; holds retreats twice a year
Adult/Youth Sunday School: Meets at 9:00 Sunday mornings, before our morning service
Children
Nursery: For our littlest ones, who are cared for by nursery staff. We want your children to be healthy, secure, and happy in our nursery, so you can be free to focus on the worship service. Parents are given a beeper so that nursery staff can contact you in the service should your child need anything.
Sunday School: Preschoolers through 6th graders hear a children’s sermon from our rector during our worship service, and then head out to their own Sunday School classes, returning in time to have communion with their families. Sunday School classes are overseen by our Children’s Ministry coordinator, Judy Bailey, and are taught by volunteers from our congregation.
Youth: Youth in grades 6 through 12 meet on Sunday afternoons from 1:00 to 3:00 for games, music, and teaching. Centreville Baptist Church on Route 29 in Centreville graciously provides space for our Youth Group meeting. Youth also get together at different times just for fun.
